Crippen is confused about the sudden appearance of 7 billion pounds

Excuse me for seeming a little confused here, but hasn’t the Prime Minister just been telling us how little money we have and that we’re all going to have to tighten our belts and that Disabled people have to accept benefit cuts to the tune of 12 billion pounds …?!
So, what’s with this sudden appearance of seven billion that is going to be paid into the Irish banks as a token of the “particular economic relationship” that exists?

no need to be confused Crippen. I personally find that politics are best explained by i’ve got news for you. Ian Hislop said we need to raise £7billion through cuts, savings, reprovision, etc and that Ireland needs £7billion from us so that simply balances the books nicely. We also need to remember at these times of stress that the Irish are reputed to be the kindest most charitable of people’s and made more contributions per capita to live aid than any other country and no they are most unlikely to want to bun Pudsey bear so fair’s fair and i hope that helps.
